Autonomy Algorithm and Software Development
The CETUS division has worked on the ONR Unmanned Cooperative Cueing and Intervention (UCCI) and Large Diameter UUV (LD UUV) projects between 2008 and the present. Working with ONR, SPAWAR and other small companies, Metron has been a key player in the design of a framework for autonomy and vehicle control; the Framework for Organized Control of Unmanned Systems (FOCUS). FOCUS features a modular open architecture design using Java Message Services (JMS). Within that framework, Metron has designed, developed and tested the System for Planning Unmanned Resources (SPUR), and installed and tested SPUR on both unmanned surface and unmanned underwater vehicle platforms. SPUR provides for mission planning and on-vehicle autonomous reactive control.
