Metron Inc. has been awarded a $7,167,816 performance based, cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract for the development of a Maritime Counter-Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C-ISR) Planning System for the DARPA Strategic Technology Office. This will be a true Metron team effort spanning Divisions 1, 3, 4, and 6. The contract includes an 18-month base period which includes three optional taskings, and one 12-month option period that includes three optional taskings. The option period and taskings, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $12,825,833. If all options are exercised, work would continue until May 2019. The contract includes semi-annual test and evaluation events with Navy operators and the option to participate in multiple Navy wargames at various stages in the development process.
