Metron Awarded $360K Contract to Provide Sonar Detection and Tracking Concepts for DARPA’s Strategic Technology Office (STO)

Arlington, VA. –  July 23, 2014-Metron has been awarded a Cost Plus Fixed-Fee contract valued at $360,959 to conceptualize, prototype, test, and transition innovative technical approaches applicable to undersea ISR and situational/environmental awareness suited to contested, denied, and/or austere environments.

Metron’s Advanced Mathematics Applications (AMA) Division employs applicable mathematics to develop technology for government R&D organizations such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the Office of Naval Research. The two main thrusts of the division’s work are nonlinear data fusion and threat detection for counter- terrorism.
